About Ramaiah College of Law

Sri. M S Ramaiah (1922-1997) had limited formal education due to financial constraints, but his early work in an Industrial Training Lab and the Mysore Railways, along with supplying bricks during World War II, laid the foundation for his successful contracting career. Recognizing the importance of education for societal progress, he established the M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology in 1962 under the Gokula Education Foundation.

In 1979, he founded the M S Ramaiah Medical College, followed by the M S Ramaiah Teaching Hospital in 1984 to expand his contributions to healthcare. Over the years, he added more institutions to the campus, strengthening the Ramaiah Group’s educational focus.

To evolve as an internationally acclaimed institution striving for excellence in interdisciplinary legal education while inculcating ethical values and promoting the advancement of justice.
